I then went to the Game controller settings in windows 8 and again the game controller settings dialog does not show the LT and RT (Z-Axis) inputs. In the game and my character does the corresponding move associated to the button as well as showing the button presses on the screen. I tried Street Fighter X Tekken, went to training mode so you can see the button inputs on screen, and when pressing the trigger buttons RT and LT, they register Searched online and came across this thread in hopes of finding new updated drivers, or a solution.Īfter reading the post I quoted above, I decided to see if the Z-Axis works in game, and it does. It would not show the trigger inputs (Z-Axis) on the calibration screen.

#XBOX 360 WIRELESS CONTROLLER DRIVER WINDOWS 8 PRO#
I was having the same issue, with the Z-Axis (Left Trigger (LT) and Right Trigger (RT)) with a wireless 360 controller using the wireless controller adapter on Windows 8 Pro 64bit. There is no problem with the controller or drivers, everything works (Read below for explanation and solution) I hope your controller Z axis also works outside the test application, and the above information helps clear up the confusion around this issue. (Mine is actually a Logitech F710, but it uses Xinput just the same.) However, the controller DOES seem to work fine in games.

I also jumped to the conclusion that it must be a driver problem and expected the controller not to work properly in games. I thought I had the same problem, but see the knowledge base article:Īpparently the problem is only with the test dialog itself.
